My latest article for The Apple Blog covers my thoughts on the lack of an Apple netbook, and why I don’t think we’ll ever see one from Apple.
I’ve actually grown quite tired of hearing about sub $500 laptops from people who probably have no idea what that $500 gets them (or doesn’t, as the case may be).
Most Mac users don’t want a stripped-down, barely usable laptop – no matter what the price is. The MacBook Air is a powerful, light-weight laptop and gives you everything you need at half the weight of most laptops. If you think you need a “netbook,” think again!

iPhoto is perfectly capable of displaying your photos as a slideshow or one at a time. But you’re limited to a flat display that doesn’t exactly “wow” anyone.
With one simple download, you can view your iPhoto collection on a visually stunning 3D wall, right in your web browser.
In my review at The Apple Blog, I show you how you can use the Cooliris plugin for Safari or Firefox (Windows or Mac) to view images contained in your iPhoto library, or anywhere else on your computer.

I’m now writing for The Apple Blog, a site written for Mac users by Mac users, covering a wide-range of Apple-related topics. I’ll primarily be writing application reviews and general commentary on Apple and the Mac.
