Coronavirus makes for long workdays for the lucky ones

I’m fortunate that I’ve been able to maintain my employment through the pandemic we’re currently battling through. The millions of people who haven’t been so lucky is not lost on me, so it’s somewhat difficult to complain about the problem I’m seeing.

I’ve noticed my workdays are starting earlier and ending later, often well into the evening since the stay-at-home orders came down from the state government at the start of the pandemic. While I’m certainly taking advantage of the fact that I’m working from home and doing household chores or running errands mid-day, it’s more than made up for in the early mornings and evenings. And apparently, I’m not alone.
