When the preview for the long-awaited sequel dropped below the hard deck, I must admit I was intrigued—but as soon as I heard Ed Harris’ voice in the preview, I was sold.
What’s interesting is the amount of help the Pentagon offered in the making of the film. You can see the actual contract at the end of this post, but the short of it is that the Pentagon offered everything under the sun to help, as long as Hollywood portrayed Naval pilots accurately, and didn’t show anything too terribly top secret.
Top Gun: Maverick flys into theaters in Summer 2020, so you have some time to build up the need for speed.
